For Barbershops
When someone new in town asks AI for a barber, be the answer.
Regulars rarely search. The person who matters for growth is the one who just moved to the neighborhood, or who got a bad cut last time and wants a change. That person asks: "good barbershop near me that does fades," "barber in the Marigny open Sunday," or "where can I get a straight razor shave in New Orleans." ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI usually name a handful of shops. An Instagram account, however good the photos, is not what gets a shop on that list.
What AI wants to know about a barbershop
- Services and prices, written down. Fades, beard trims, hot towel shaves, kids' cuts, walk-ins versus appointments. AI tools tend to match the question to the service, and prices on the page give them more to work with.
- Hours, including the odd ones. Open late Thursday or on Sundays? Say so on the site and on Google. That is the kind of thing people ask AI about.
- A real address and neighborhood name. "Barber in the Bywater" is far more likely to work if the word Bywater is on your pages.
- Reviews with detail. "Asked for a mid fade, got exactly that, took 25 minutes" is the kind of sentence AI tools tend to quote. Reply to reviews; it keeps your profile active.
- Your photos. Cuts you have done, the chairs, the front door. AI tools and Google both appear to use image context.
What SightLine builds for a barbershop
A free demo site first, built from your photos, services, and hours. On a paid plan:
- Homepage plus service and neighborhood pages, so "beard trim" and "barber in Mid-City" each have a page to match.
- Click-to-text on every page, for the person who wants to know if there is a wait.
- Google Business Profile setup and schema that identifies you as a barbershop with hours and a location.
- A dashboard that tracks whether AI tools name your shop for haircuts in your area, month over month. (The free check before you sign up compares you with two or three local competitors.)
Growth adds four pieces of content a month, auto-posted to Google and social, plus review requests, so your profile stays active.
